Don’t Mess with Texas

The Texas Rangers defeated the Boston Red Sox 7-3 Sunday afternoon, scoring six runs in their last two at bats to ice the game. C.J. Wilson walked one and struck out eight to earn his 11th victory. It’s a good sign that he showed that kind of control against a very selective team.

The Rangers are 3-2 in five games against two AL East power houses, and start a three-game series against the Rays on Monday. This has to give them some confidence going into the post season, as they are likely to get the wild card team, and that team looks like it will come from the east. We’ll see if they can take two of three from the Rays as well.
