Double Feat?

Marcus Stroman is working on a no-hitter in the sixth inning as the Blue Jays lead the Red Sox 7-0. Shane Victorino and Jackie Bradley, Jr. have drawn walks for the Red Sox. Juan Francisco is a double away from the cycle, three for three with four RBI so far on the afternoon. We have a shot at two rare feats in the same game! I don’t think that happened at the MLB level, but:

If some fans were lucky enough to be at each of the last two games in Chicago, their luck was eclipsed by those spectators who stopped by Saturday’s Faith Christian (Arvada, Colo.) High School game against Coal Ridge. In the Class 3A playoff game, pitcher Jobi Wall pitched a perfect game and hit for the cycle in a five-inning 18-0 win. Wall, a senior right-hander who also plays shortstop, told The Denver Post that he “got a lot of lucky bounces.”

Stay tuned.

Update: Stoman retires the side in order in the sixth. He’s struck out seven so far.

Update: I’m listening to the Toronto broadcast, and they are saying that the triple might have been an error on Bradley. They were also noting that all of the Blue Jays cycles are a bit tainted, since a couple of times players stopped at first when they could have gone for a double.

Update: Shane Victorino leads off the seventh with a single. That breaks up the no-hitter.

Update: Juan Francisco flies out in the bottom of the seventh. Stroman does not come out for the eighth inning. Toronto still leads 7-0.
