Double Perfecto

Through 3 1/2 innings, Danny Duffy retired 12 straight batters and Corey Kluber put down nine straight. Someone really wants to perform a rare feat today.

Update: Kluber remains perfect in the fourth. The two pitchers have combined to strike out 10 of the 24 batters they faced.

Update: Carlos Santana gets the first hit of the game in the top of the fifth.

Update: Kluber retires the side in order in the fifth on three ground balls. He’s working efficiently in the game as he remains perfect. There’s still no score.

Update: Kluber remains perfect through six innings, recording his seventh strikeout. The Indians aren’t scoring, however, so despite his great start, Kluber is not yet in line for the win. Duffy allowed just one hit so far.

Update: Omar Infante singles with one out in the seventh to break up the perfect game. There is still no score.
