    • We all know what a night out at the ballpark costs. While it may be "priceless", it's anything but that when the credit card bill arrives. A cash advance can help.

    Last Minute Trade

The Rockes and Rays swapped pitchers, with Colorado acquiring Jason Hammel for a prospect, Aneury Rodriguez. I suppose the Rockies see Hammel as a backup for a rotation that lost Jeff Francis, although they are not on the same level. Hammel strikes me as the type of pitcher who might not do well at Coors, as he tends to walk batters and allow home runs.

The next A-Rod strikes out a good number of batters, and his walks per 9 improved every year in the minors. It’s a nice trade for the Rays as they flip a pitcher they don’t need for one who might help them in a couple of years.
