  • Priceless

    • We all know what a night out at the ballpark costs. While it may be "priceless", it's anything but that when the credit card bill arrives. A cash advance can help.

    No Jobs

With the season about to begin in a few minutes, the following players don’t have jobs:

Frank Catalanotto, Pedro Martinez, Geoff Jenkins, Ray Durham, Richie Sexson, Wily Mo Pena, Dave Roberts, Jim Edmonds, Frank Thomas, and Mark Mulder are among the names still available as in-season replacements for teams as they move forward into the season, and Paul Byrd could be available at mid-season.

I always assumed Pedro Martinez would get to retire on his own, but it looks like teams made that decision for him.

It’s too bad that Tom Glavine is back for an ill-fated farewell tour and that Smoltz is still around (though he can probably still pitch). How amazing would a Cooperstown class of Pedro, Maddux, and Frank Thomas be if Smoltz and Glavine could join them???
