    • We all know what a night out at the ballpark costs. While it may be "priceless", it's anything but that when the credit card bill arrives. A cash advance can help.

    Injuries Continue

The Blue Jays lost a catcher Friday night:

Blue Jays catcher Michael Barrett left Friday’s game against Oakland in the fourth inning after he injured his right shoulder chasing a wild pitch.

Barrett was injured while trying to prevent Bobby Crosby from scoring from third base on a wild pitch from left-hander David Purcey.

Barrett picked up the ball in Oakland’s on-deck circle but fell awkwardly on his right shoulder as he threw home, appearing to land on a weight used by on-deck hitters.

Barrett lay on the ground in pain and was attended to by trainer George Poulis and manager Cito Gaston before walking gingerly off the field, holding his right arm. He was replaced by Rod Barajas.

The disabled list is growing rapidly.
