    • We all know what a night out at the ballpark costs. While it may be "priceless", it's anything but that when the credit card bill arrives. A cash advance can help.

    DisZabled

Carlos Zambrano’s injured hamstring forced him to the disabled list:

The Cubs placed ace right-hander Carlos Zambrano on the 15-day disabled list today with a Grade 2 left hamstring strain.

General manager Jim Hendry said doctors felt Zambrano would “probably need two to two-and-a-half weeks” to recover from the injury he suffered running to first base on a bunt single in the fifth inning of Sunday’s 6-4 victory over Florida.

Zambrano’s stats are good, but his ERA is a bit high given his K, BB and HR. The Hardball Times has his FIP at 3.87, over half a run better than his ERA. I’d expect his ERA to start coming down, so it’s too bad he’ll miss two or three starts.
