    Trading Places

So far this season, the Cardinals outscored the Reds but about 1.3 runs per game. With an 8-3 win tonight, however, the Reds have turned that around. They’ve doubled the Cardinals scoring in this series, leading them 14-7 over the two games. The Red shutdown Albert Pujols, keeping him off base in two consecutive games for the first time all season. The Reds close to 1 1/2 games behind the Cardinals in the NL Central.
