    Ludwick Disabled

    The St. Louis Cardinals placed Ryan Ludwick on the disabled list:

    Ludwick strained his right hamstring while trying to run down a fly ball in the second inning Tuesday night in Pittsburgh. He is hitting .274 with eight homers and 26 RBIs.

    Twelve of his 29 hits went for extra bases, so the Cardinals are losing quite a bit of power with him on the disabled list.
