    • We all know what a night out at the ballpark costs. While it may be "priceless", it's anything but that when the credit card bill arrives. A cash advance can help.

    Flores Fractured

Jesus Flores’s shoulder contusion turned out to be a stress fracture.

This day isn’t getting any better for the Nationals. Catcher Jesus Flores, who has been out since May 15 with what was originially thought to be a right shoulder contusion, actually has a stress fracture in his shoulder that could keep him out three months and possibly for the rest of the season, acting general manager Mike Rizzo said today.

Flores was examined Monday by surgeon James Andrews, who confirmed the stress fracture team doctor Wiemi Douoguih saw in his latest examination of Flores. The Nationals didn’t see the stress fracture in their first MRI of Flores’ shoulder, and he had started a rehab assignment at Class AA Harrisburg with the goal of returning for last Friday’s game against the Phillies.

Despite his name, Jesus can’t perform miracles on his injury. The Nationals are 9-16 when Flores plays, 4-20 without him.

    Hat tip, Kristen Hudak.
