    • We all know what a night out at the ballpark costs. While it may be "priceless", it's anything but that when the credit card bill arrives. A cash advance can help.

    Contreras Returns

Jose Contreras went back in the minor leagues in May after a 0-5 start and an 8.19 ERA. He seemed to straighten himself out in the minors, posting a 3-1 record with a 2.70 ERA. He got a chance in the second game of the double header against Detroit and responds with eight shutout innings, giving up just one hit. That lowers his ERA over 1 1/2 runs to 6.45. No doubt the White Sox could use Jose giving them quality starts.

Jeremy Bonderman returned to the majors as well, but didn’t do anything to knock any of the Tigers starters out of the rotation. The White Sox dinged him for three home runs in four innings as they took the nightcap 6-1 for a split. That leaves them where they started the day, 4 1/2 games behind the Tigers, but with three games left in this series.
