Jeremy Bonderman goes back on the disabled list:
Bonderman (0-1) gave up six runs on eight hits in just over four innings during Monday’s loss to the Chicago White Sox. It was his first major league appearance since June 1, 2008.
Bonderman won 50 games over four seasons, but an injury to his right shoulder limited him to 12 starts last year. The circulation problem required surgery and he is continuing his rehabilitation.
I saw an unpublished report a few years ago that showed the probability of going on the disabled list is highest immediately after coming off the disabled list. The curve falls off rapidly, following a power law.
