  • Priceless

    • We all know what a night out at the ballpark costs. While it may be "priceless", it's anything but that when the credit card bill arrives. A cash advance can help.

    Meche Streaks

Gil Meche pitches his first shutout and complete game of the 2009 season, limiting the Arizona Diamondbacks to four hits and one walk. The 5-0 victory gives the Royals their fourth win in a row as they stay in contention in the AL Central. Meche pitched seven shutout innings in his last start, giving him 16 consecutive scoreless innings. He’s lowered his ERA from 4.08 to 3.31 over those two outings.

It’s also his third short shutout of the season. That gives the Royals nine as a team, tied with the Diamondbacks for third in the majors behind Detroit with 11 and the Giants with 10.
