With two out in the bottom of the tenth, Adrian Gonzalez doubles to deep right center, and Kevin Kouzmanoff follows with a single to give the Padres a 4-3 win over the Mariners. The Padres break a five-game losing streak in which they’ve scored 10 runs. Gonzalez also homered, his 23rd on the season.
Adrian’s doubles pretty much disappeared this season. Over the last two years he combined for 78 doubles and 66 homers. He now has 23 homers and only seven doubles.
