Devon Young sent me a link to this site, Flip Flop Fly Ball. The owner does a fantastic job creating graphics to show the history and statistics of the game. I especially like this one, showing the compass direction of home plate in each ballpark.

Why does no ballpark have a home plate that faces west? Seems a little odd. Is there some sort of superstition about facing west while batting?
