  • Priceless

    • We all know what a night out at the ballpark costs. While it may be "priceless", it's anything but that when the credit card bill arrives. A cash advance can help.

    Upton Back Up

B.J. Upton hit rock bottom on May 26th. After an 0 for 4 in that game, he was batting .189 with both his OBA and his slugging percentage below .300. About the only positive to take out of his first 40 games was his good walk rate and excellent job stealing bases.

Of course, he was still recovering from shoulder surgery. That recovery appears to be complete. He went two for four today with a home run. That brings his batting average up to .249 as he’s hit .336 during the streak with his OBA over .400 and his slugging percentage over .500. With Upton back to what he should be offensively, the Rays are looking that much harder to beat. They’re 19-10 since Upton started to hit with the 5-2 filleting of the Marlins today.
