  • Priceless

    • We all know what a night out at the ballpark costs. While it may be "priceless", it's anything but that when the credit card bill arrives. A cash advance can help.

    Five Million Well Spent

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim spent $5 million to bring Bobby Abreu to their team. That’s what he was worth based on his 2008 season, but according to FanGraphs, he’s produced $7.8 million in value half-way through the season. He hit two home runs Thursday night in the Angels 5-2 win over Baltimore and now has a slash line of .299/.399/.441. His power isn’t what it used to be, but he’s great at the top of the Angels lineup setting up the middle of the order. With 48 RBI through 77 Angels games, he still has a chance to drive in 100. He’s only scored 39 runs, however, which speaks to the weak hitting the Angels received from the three hole this year. The win puts LAnaheim one game ahead of the Rangers in AL West.
