  • Priceless

    • We all know what a night out at the ballpark costs. While it may be "priceless", it's anything but that when the credit card bill arrives. A cash advance can help.

    Games of the Day

Johan Santana tries to salvage one game against the Phillies as the Mets face Joe Blanton. Santana pitched poorly on the road this years, posting a 5.18 ERA with lots of hits falling in against him. Blanton is striking out a lot of batters this year, but it hasn’t helped his ERA. He’s still giving up a .283 batting average.

Detroit and Minnesota play the rubber game of their series sending Rick Porcello and Nick Blackburn to the mound. Procello comes off a rough June in which he walked 13 and struck out 12, posting a 4.60 ERA. Blackburn is undefeated at home with a 2.61 ERA in six starts.

Mike Burns and Ted Lilly face off in Chicago as the Brewers try to earn a split with the Cubs. Opponents are just 2 for 14 against Burns with runners in scoring position. Lilly cut his walk rate this season and saw his ERA fall over 0.7 runs.

Finally, the best pitching match up of the day pits Dan Haren against Ubaldo Jimenez as the Diamondbacks take on the Rockies. Haren allowed just 15 walks in 16 starts, holding opponents to a .220 OBA. Jimenez has nearly the same ERA at home and on the road, but opposite records. He’s 4-2 at home, 2-5 on road.

    Enjoy!
