    • We all know what a night out at the ballpark costs. While it may be "priceless", it's anything but that when the credit card bill arrives. A cash advance can help.

    Blackburn Becoming Halladay

Lately, Nick Blackburn of the Twins is pitching a little bit like Roy Halladay. Blackburn completed his third game in his last four starts. He never completed a game previously in his three season career. One was an eight inning loss, but since he got knocked out early at Detroit on May 5th, Blackburn averaged a little over 7 1/3 innings per start. He posted a 1.98 ERA, and with few strikeouts and few walks, he pitches very efficiently. I wonder if he’ll run into some bad luck at some point. His line drive percentage is very low this season, so if that comes back to 20% I’d also expect a few more hits against him. Right now, however, he looks like the Twins ace.
