The Marlins got a great pitching performance from Anibal Sanchez in the second game of their double header against the Phillies. Sanchez pitched eight scoreless innings as the Marlins win 3-0, splitting the double header. The Phillies managed just two hits against him and for the game.
Even more impressively, the Marlins beat Jamie Moyer. This was the third win against Moyer this year after just beating him once the previous three seasons. Jamie still has a great record against the Marlins, 13-4.
The Braves defeat the Mets 3-1 behind Jair Jurrjens, so they gain 1/2 game on both the Phillies and Marlins.
