    • We all know what a night out at the ballpark costs. While it may be "priceless", it's anything but that when the credit card bill arrives. A cash advance can help.

    Blue Jays Waive

Via Drunk Jays Fans, more layoffs in the Toronto front office:

While fans and observers speculate on the fate of general manager J.P. Ricciardi, the National Post has learned the team on Wednesday trimmed several dozen workers from the business side of its front office.

Interim CEO Paul Beeston, the man in charge when the Blue Jays cut 33 jobs from their front office last December, would not confirm the number of employees who lost their jobs.

“It was enough that it wasn’t pleasant,” he said. “It’s not an easy time. You do have a sleepless night, you don’t look forward to it. You’re fooling with people’s lives.”

Beeston said the timing was right after the team wrapped up its home schedule on Sunday.

It hasn’t been a good day to be a baseball employee on the Great Lakes.
