    • We all know what a night out at the ballpark costs. While it may be "priceless", it's anything but that when the credit card bill arrives. A cash advance can help.

    Fixing the Red Sox

    From the Soxaholix:

MAYBE THIS YEAR WE COULD HAVE A FEW FEWAH RECLAMATION PROJECT FAS AND MAYBE A COUPLE HONEST TO GOODNESS REAL DEAL FAS?

The Red Sox didn’t have a plan B when the Mark Teixeira deal fell apart. That said, they got a pretty good season out of the team, and improvements by Ellsbury, Lester and Buchholz give them a solid young core (along with Pedroia) for the future. I just wonder if they’ll ever find a shortstop.

I wonder if Beckett and/or Paps get used to put some blue-chippers in the system. Especially the former. We know we are not going to put out the $$$ to resign him…his value won’t get higher, will it?

They found a shortstop in Hanley Ramirez. The bigger question should be, once they find some promising shortstop prospects are they able find success in October without trading those prospects in July/August.
