  • Priceless

    • We all know what a night out at the ballpark costs. While it may be "priceless", it's anything but that when the credit card bill arrives. A cash advance can help.

    Keeping Padilla in LA

Joe Torre’s decision to start Vicente Padilla in game two means he’ll also be on schedule to start game six, both in Dodger Stadium. Padilla does not have a good history in Citizen’s Bank Park, where he allowed 38.7 home runs per 200 innings while he was with the Phillies. In a very small sample pitching at home for the Dodgers, his rate nearly identical, 39.1 per 200 IP, but his overall home run rate with the Dodgers has dropped. Still, given his history in hitter friendly parks in both Philadelphia and Texas, I believe this is a good move for Los Angeles.

I’m somewhat surprised that the Dodgers moved Chad Billingsley to the pen. His season turned out to be less than inspiring as he started as the Dodgers ace and ends up in as a reliever on a staff that doesn’t need help.
