  • Priceless

    • We all know what a night out at the ballpark costs. While it may be "priceless", it's anything but that when the credit card bill arrives. A cash advance can help.

    Dodgers in the Ninth

I’m surprised that Cliff Lee batted, but Chad Durbin comes out to pitch the ninth.

Update: Mark Loretta flies out to left for the first out in the ninth.

Update: Furcal grounds out to second, and the Phillies are one out away from a shutout and a 2-1 lead in the series.

Update: Carlos Ruiz reaches into the Phillies dugout to grab a pop up by Ronnie Belliard, and Cliff Lee gets the win in an 11-0 shutout.

Lee pitches five 1-2-3 innings and allows just three singles. He took away the Dodgers walks, and Los Angeles could not generate an extra-base hit to try to compensate. According to the broadcast, LA has not collected an extra-base hit in 19 innings.

Meanwhile, the Phillies hit two doubles, two triples and two home runs while walking seven times. That’s a nice combination of gettng on base and hitting for power that resulted in double digit scoring. Victorino and Howard both drove in three, and Ryan now has 22 RBI in 24 post season games.
