Andre Ethier fouls off a number of 1-2 pitches before driving a ball deep into the righ-center stands. I didn’t think he hit the ball that far off the bat (he hit it well, but I thought double, not homer), so it looks like the ball is carrying tonight. Manny follows with a single as the Dodgers go up 1-0 in the first.
Update: Matt Kemp strikes out to end the inning. Hamels struck out two, but the gopher ball continues to plague him in the post season.
