    • We all know what a night out at the ballpark costs. While it may be "priceless", it's anything but that when the credit card bill arrives. A cash advance can help.

    Phillies Extend Their Lead

The Dodgers were hoping Padilla could get through the fourth so they could pinch hit for him in the bottom of the inning, but he gives up a single to Werth and an RBI double to Ibanez leading off the inning, and the Phillies lead 5-2. That’s it for Vicente. Sixteen of the Phillies 32 hits in this series have gone for extra bases.

Update: Ramon Troncoso takes over for Padilla.

Update: Troncoso gets two out but walks two batters to load the bases for Shane Victorino. Torre goes to the bullpen for the second time this inning.

Update: George Sherrill comes on to try to get out of the jam. Torre is playing this like it was the eighth inning.

Update: Sherrill hits Victorino with on a 3-2 pitch. That drives in a run and the Phillies lead 6-2.

Update: Sherrill strikes out Chase Utley to end the inning, but the Phillies have a comfortable four run lead to defend.

Update: Maybe not so comfortable. Orlando Hudson pinch hits in the top of the fifth and hits the Dodgers’ third solo home run of the night. That cuts the Phillies lead in half, 6-3. The Dodgers need to get a couple of people on base the next time they launch a bomb.

Update: Furcal follows up Hudson’s homer with a double, and Charlie Manuel pulls Cole Hamels with one out in the fifth. J.A. Happ comes into the game.

Update: Happ walks Ronnie Belliard. That sets up a game tying three-run homer as Andre Ethier comes to the plate.

Update: Ethier flies out to left bringing Manny Ramirez to the plate with two out. This would be a good time for Manny to earn his salary.

Update: That’s it for Happ, which surprises me. Happ, a starter the second half of the season, is one of the better pitchers on the Phillies staff and should be able to keep the rest of the bullpen out of the game for a while. Manuel wants Chad Durbin, however.

Update: Durbin gets ahead of Manny 0-2, as Ramirez fouls the second pitch off his left shin.

Update: Manny gets jammed on a 2-2 pitch and weakly grounds out to the pitcher. The Dodgers threaten, but the heart of the order can’t deliver as the Phillies come up in the bottom of the fifth with a 6-3 lead.
