    Still Pettitte in Game Six

    Joe Girardi sticks with Andy Pettitte in game six of the ALCS tonight. I agree with Sam Borden:

    But beyond that is the rather elementary – yet often overlooked – concept that if Sabathia does not pitch Game 6 then that means that he can pitch Game 7.

    Sound silly? Of course. But think of it this way: Game 7 of the ALCS or Game 1 of the World Series are, by definition, both bigger games than Game 6 of the ALCS. And if Sabathia pitches Game 6 of the ALCS that means he can’t pitch either one of those bigger games.

    Joe Saunders remains the starter for the Angels.
