    Expensive Exercise

    Manny Ramirez exercises his option with the Dodgers, taking $20 million after a year in which he missed 1/3 of the season due to a positive steroid test. Meanwhile, the Arizona Diamondbacks decided to take another chance on Brandon Webb, bringing him back for $8.5 million. It looks to me like the Diamondback got the better deal. Manny showed a big power falloff after the suspension.
