    • We all know what a night out at the ballpark costs. While it may be "priceless", it's anything but that when the credit card bill arrives. A cash advance can help.

    Losing Winn

The Giants won’t bring back Randy Winn:

Winn’s agent, Craig Landis, tells the San Jose Mercury News that the club told his client it has a number of young outfielders available in its system.

I can’t believe this. He’s only 35, the prime years for a Sabean player. Are the Giants actually on a youth movement?

Winn might actually be a decent signing for 2009 for a team looking for a cheap third outfielder. He delivered one of the highest line drive rates for his career, but it didn’t result in a lot of hits. I would guess he’ll improve in 2010 over 2009, and he still plays the outfield well. He would work as a one-year stop-gap fro some team.
