Jim Bowden is now reporting on the Nationals:
The Washington Nationals have promoted interim manager Jim Riggelman to a permanent role as skipper, according to former Nats general manager Jim Bowden.
Bowden, reporting for Fox Sports, cited no sources in his tweet Wednesday reporting the move, and he added that he was awaiting confirmation. He did, however, say that a deal was “done.”
If this turns out to be true, it’s not much of a surprise. The Nationals didn’t seem like they were trying that hard to find someone else.
