    • We all know what a night out at the ballpark costs. While it may be "priceless", it's anything but that when the credit card bill arrives. A cash advance can help.

Players A to Z, Josh Anderson

Josh Anderson is an outfielder for the Kansas City Royals, if he doesn’t get traded again. In three major league seasons, Josh played for four different teams. The majority of Josh’s offensive value lies in his batting average. Of his 132 career hits, only 26 have gone for extra bases, and he owns more triples than home runs. In 486 at bats, he’s only drawn 26 walks. So despite a .272 career batting average, he’s barely better than a replacement player with a .313 OBP and a .352 slugging percentage. Somehow, in 2009, he played in 118 games despite posting a slash line of .240/.276/.304. It’s not a surprise he ended up with the Royals.

On top of that, Anderson’s minor league numbers were unimpressive as well. Someone who posts okay numbers in the minors really can’t be expected to post great numbers in the majors. 2010 Will be his age 27 season. If he doesn’t become a competent major player then, I suspect he’ll be gone from the game.
