Robert Andino plays shortstop for the Baltimore Orioles. After four seasons with the Marlins in which he showed little ability to be a regular major leaguer, he was traded for Hayden Penn, another disappointing player. The Orioles then gave Andino more at bats in 2009 than he earned in his four previous seasons and were rewarded with a .222/.274/.288 slash line. His defense was okay, however. His role should be as a late inning defensive replacement. There’s no reason to give him over 100 at bats in a season.
