Wladimir Balentien plays the outfield for the Cincinnati Reds. As an offensive player he fails to hit for average, get on base and power the ball. His power was good in the minors; maybe the move from the pitcher friendly Safeco Field to Great American Ballpark will help. However, he didn’t hit any better on the road than at home when playing for the Mariners. I’m not sure how many more chances he’s going to get to prove he’s a major league hitter.
