  • Priceless

    • We all know what a night out at the ballpark costs. While it may be "priceless", it's anything but that when the credit card bill arrives. A cash advance can help.

    Feliz to the Astros

The Astros sign Pedro Feliz to a one-year contract worth $4.5 million:

“He’s been an outstanding defensive player and a solid run producer for his entire career,” Astros general manager Ed Wade said. “He played a premium position with a two-time World Series participant and was a key part of the Phillies’ success. We’re fortunate to have him on board.”

Feliz is slated to take over from Geoff Blum, who started 94 games at third for Houston last season, and Jeff Keppinger, who started 67.

He was an outstanding defense player who is now just good. His offense stinks, and has stunk for a long time. He’s a cheap player who can catch the ball. If the Astros really wanted to improve the position, they could have signed Beltre. Overall, there’s not much chance that Feliz will produce anything more than Blum and Keppinger did. Ed Wade is just not impressing me this off season.
