Major League Baseball and the umpires union reached an agreement on a contract through the 2014 season. The umpires will meet in January to ratify the deal. There are no details in the story, but it’s believed the league wanted more flexibility in deciding post-season assignments.
It’s also always nice to see a labor deal decided with little fighting.
