They have the money and fan support to build a bigger ballpark and get BIGGER revenue
A great new ballpark was built for the Sox a while ago — except it was placed in Baltimore. Regardless, commute + ticket prices there are cheaper than ticket prices alone at Fenway, so Sox fans still fill the place up.
I wonder how the field sustained the Bruins game in january and the 18 inches of rain in March (an All time record going back to records being kept from 1885).
