In other news, Bruce Bochy sat down Aaron Rowand to explain why he wasn’t playing for a second consecutive day. Bochy said he didn’t know how long Rowand would be benched; he might be in the lineup tomorrow.

“You look at the way some of these guys are swinging the bat, you can’t take them out,” Bochy said.

Nice to see the Giants thinking about offense for a change. Rowand will probably be back when the team gets back to the big park at home.
