Cardinals Big Guns Down Diamondbacks

Adam Wainwright and Albert Pujols combined to help the Cardinals to an 8-0 victory over the Diamondbacks. Wainwright struck out seven over 6 1/3 innings as he earned a short shutout. Pujols hit two home runs and a double, giving him eighteen of each on the season. He drove in five runs and scored three, raising his slugging percentage to .570. He’s 16 home runs away from 400.

Dontrelle Willis walked six, lasting just four innings. I’m amazed he keeps getting starts. Is the DBacks system that devoid of talent?
