The Rangers placed Dustin Nippert on the disabled list after he was hit in the head with a line drive.

The clubhouse isn’t yet open, so no official diagnosis is known on Nippert. He had a CT scan alst night that came back negative.

They scanned his head and found nothing, to paraphrase Yogi Berra. Texas isn’t losing a lot here as Dustin had walked 30 batters in 42 innings and gave up six home runs. His injury does stretch their pitching depth, as Rich Harden and Derek Holland remain on the DL.
