    • We all know what a night out at the ballpark costs. While it may be "priceless", it's anything but that when the credit card bill arrives. A cash advance can help.

    Peralta Moves Up

Jhonny Peralta moved up in the division as the Detroit Tigers acquire him for minor league pitcher Giovanni Soto. With all the injuries to their starters, the Tigers needed a veteran, and Peralta will fill in for Brandon Inge.

Soto is just seasonal age 19 with good strikeout and walk rates at A ball. In 128 1/3 minor league innings he’s only allowed two home runs.

Peralta put together one great season in 2005, hitting for average, getting on base, and hitting for power. That season proved to be an outlier, however, as his career number of .264/.329/.422 are okay for a shortstop. He’s never been a good fielder, however, and the Tigers will continue to miss Inge’s defense at third.
