  • Priceless

    • We all know what a night out at the ballpark costs. While it may be "priceless", it's anything but that when the credit card bill arrives. A cash advance can help.

    Throwing Blanks

Kyle Blanks needs Tommy John surgery. Matthew Pouliot makes a good point about how his could change the plans of the Padres:

The injury puts his future within the organization in doubt. The Padres would have to be especially nervous about trading Gonzalez this winter with their replacement iffy for Opening Day. And if Gonzalez stays and Blanks is unable to come back and make throws from the outfield next year, then the young slugger may well be a non-factor until 2012.

I really liked what I saw of Blanks last season, especially his speed for a big man. We’ll see what his power looks like in 2011. He’ll be just 24 then, so he’ll still have time to develop as a hitter.
