The Tigers collected four extra-base hits to the Rays two on Wednesday night, but the Rays knocked out 14 hits as they defeated the Tigers 7-4. Evan Longoria poked out the Rays home run, part of a three hit attack that leaves him with a .508 slugging percentage. The win gives the Rays five in a row, in which they’ve out scored their opponents 25 to 11. The Tigers lost five of six.
