The Phillies made a deal with the Mariners for first baseman Mike Sweeney:

Seattle first activated Sweeney from the disabled list then made the deal of one of their clubhouse leaders.

By clubhouse leader, they mean the guy who covered for Griffey sleeping. 🙂

Sweeney doesn’t get on base much anymore, but still delivers some pop. Interestingly Sweeney, a right hander, saw his power numbers come mostly against RHP this season.
