Hurling Buehrle

Mark Buehrle made sure any lead the White Sox gave him held up as he pitched seven shutout innings against the Twins, salvaging one game of the series and keeping Chicago in striking distance with an 11-0 win. Make allowed five hits and one walk in seven innings. That’s as many hits as Paul Konerko collected in the game, missing the cycle by a triple. Four other White Sox hitters knocked out three hits each as Carl Pavano took one for the team, allowing 15 hits in six innings. Buehrle is 3-1 with a 2.57 ERA so far in August.
