No Tears and No Hearts Breaking

Colin Cowherd came under fire from A.J. Burnett’s agent for reporting Burnett was involved in a divorce.

“A.J. is ticked. He is not going through a divorce, and if he was, it would not be anyone’s business. They are happily married … This is irresponsible and reckless on Cowherd’s part. His reporting inaccuracies should be brought to light. This must be his idea of shock jockery.”

It is possible to be happy in life and still have a bad year. It will be interesting to see if Cowherd apologizes. Of course, with Cowherd talking about a sitcom deal, this is just more publicity.

Update: Cowherd did apologize.

I’ve debated who is worse Jim Rome or Colin Cowherd. Right now Colin is in the worse position. I still don’t see why anyone employs either of these self-important jerks.

Colin can do good interviews, but when he isn’t, he is bad. I may tune into ESPN radio when every other station is on ads (including NPR) to hear if the Yankees have signed anybody (Yay, we got our big off seasonacquisiton in Russel Martin. 2011 is saved!) but otherwise he’s horrible. The repetition is annoying, and making each item seem like the most important thing ever is infuriating. Not to mention, too often he is wrong.

I turn off ESPN radio when he comes on. Between getting stories flat out wrong like this, to stealing other show’s bits and stories and labeling them his own, I’ve been done with him for a while. It’s kinda rough during the time when Cowherd and Rome are on at the same time.
