Game Time

Here’s a good trivia game suggested by the Harvard Sports Analysis Collective, a variation on six degrees of Kevin Bacon. (My Kevin Bacon stumper is Bert Lahr, by the way, with just two actors between the Cowardly Lion and, “Thank you sir, may I have another.”)

Also, congratulations go out to the Harvard Men’s Basketball Team, who captured their first Ivy League Title despite not quite winning the Ivy bid to the NCAA tournament yet. It seems that if two teams tie during the regular season, both are Ivy champions, even though a playoff game determines who gets the NCAA bid. The way things stand after the Crimson win over Princeton on Saturday is that Harvard leads the Tigers by 1/2 game, with Princeton playing Penn on Tuesday. If Princeton wins, Harvard shares the title and the two play a neutral site game on the weekend to determine the tournament team. If Penn wins, Harvard wins the Ivy outright and takes part in the NCAA for the first time since 1946.

Go Penn!

Update: Looks like there is a monster truck event this weekend in Bridgeport, so I don’t think they’ll be playing hoops there.
