Low Hit Gorzelanny

Tom Gorzelanny allowed just two hits in seven innings as he helps the Nationals defeat the Marlins 5-2. It was a close game until the ninth when the Nationals score twice to give Drew Storen a nice cushion for the save. Tom lowered his opposition batting average to .163 as he’s allowed just 21 hits in 37 2/3 innings. He was a little wild as he walked four batters, but the six strikeouts helped keep too many balls from being put in play.

Roger Bernadina came back from the minors to collect two hits and walk in the lead-off slot, scoring a run. If he can keep hitting, he’ll give Washington the table setter they need.
