Justin Verlander won his 18th game of the season with another stellar performance. He allowed one, walking one and striking out eight in 7 2/3 innings as the Tigers defeated the Twins 7-1. Verlander lowers his ERA to 2.31 and tops 200 strikeouts for the third straight season. With 206 K, he’s only walked 42.

William Blake wrote about the animal, but these two verses could have been about Justin:
