As a regular reader and a Mets fan, I would be completely shocked if this rumor were true. He has made it very clear going into this offseason that he’s looking to get teams bidding to establish his market value.
The Marlins are not the Yankees. They cannot threaten to drop out of this, because unlike the Yankees it will not kill any bidding war if they drop out.
