When I was a kid, we called it the Smiling Duck. I do see the resemblance to Woody, though.
Yes!! YES!! I have always hated their awful “standing bird profile” cap. It just looks so boring and stiff. That’s not baseball. Of course, it’s been Oriole baseball over the past 13 years but hey, that’s another story. Baseball logos & uniforms should be fun. That’s part of what made me get soooooooo into baseball when I was a kid. The uniforms & logos have long been lame IMHO. And no, I’m not complaining about some classic looks – Yankees, Dodgers, etc. Some teams shouldn’t change their look, but some of them, really need to…. Like the Padres, Astros, and where in the world is chief wahoo? I missed him this year.
Cool Beans! A couple years ago I did a pitching camp with the orioles Jeremy Guthrie. He’s a good egg.
